"I see my patients during periods of both good and ill health. It’s important to me that the channel of communication is open and that I’m accessible, whether a patient is in top shape and has a simple question or is experiencing more serious health issues."

Dr. Mark J. Kranis is an Internal Medicine Physician at the Shore Drive location of Saint Vincent Medical Group in Worcester, specializing in cardiovascular medicine. Dr. Kranis treats patients with specific cardiovascular issues, improving quality of life using advanced technology, medical guidance and top-notch resources.

Dr. Kranis focuses his approach on ensuring that patients fully understand the complexities of their health issues and possible avenues for treatment to help them take better care of themselves and compliment the medical care they receive. “There are various options and strategies in treating and managing problems and walking my patients through it all is key—it allows them to make the best decision they can and become more attuned to necessary adjustments they may need to make to their lifestyle to improve their quality of life.”

To this end, Dr. Kranis ensures that he is well informed of the new medical studies and advancements in the field of cardiovascular medicine, so the information he provides to patients is current and accurate. “Even with advances in medicine, cardiac care does not stop at medicines and procedures.  I work closely to help my patients develop the skills needed to make healthy changes, motivating them to lead healthy lives with attainable diet, exercise and weight-loss goals.”

Dr. Kranis also specializes in performing invasive cardiac procedures such as diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, implanting pacemakers, transthoracic and thransesophageal echocardiography.

He attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
