About the Provider
Dr. Isha Emhoff, MD MPH FACS is a summa cum laude graduate in chemistry from Wheaton College. She graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her general surgery internship and residency at Baystate Medical Center. She completed a Society of Surgical Oncology Complex Cancer Surgery Fellowship at Brown University Rhode Island Hospital and practiced general and oncologic surgery for her entire clinical career. She operated at Brigham and Women's Hospital where she taught medical students, residents and fellows from Harvard Medical School.
In 2016, Dr. Emhoff attained a master of Public health in Health Policy and Management from Harvard. Dr. Emhoff served as a Medical Director where she spearheaded a Serious Illness Program and was part of the leadership team implementing a system-wide performance improvement plan. Before returning to clinical practice, Dr. Emhoff completed a second Society of Surgical Oncology Fellowship in Breast Surgery at Beth Isreal Deaconess Medical Center in Boston where she helped create a focused curriculum for students, residents and fellows. Dr. Emhoff has multiple publications in surgery including topics on gastrointestional surgery, colon and rectal surgery, natural orifice surgery, breast cancer surgery as well as medical ethics and the law. Dr. Emhoff is focused on aligning patient goals of care with evidence based medicine and surgery. She is interested in patient-centered compassionate surgical care to make certain that patients feel both supported and competently cared for throughout their surgical journey.
