Our cardiologists provide a personalized approach to the ongoing care and management of cardiovascular disease, placing a priority on availability and communications with patients.  We treat medical conditions related to cardiovascular health, including diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease and electrophysiology.

Interventional Cardiology

Not all cardiac procedures require traditional open-heart surgery. The Interventional Cardiologists at Saint Vincent Medical Group use the latest innovations in medical technology to perform “endovascular,” or minimally-invasive, catheter-based treatment to repair structural heart diseases.

Patients who are candidates and may benefit from this type of procedure can expect a less invasive procedure and reduced post-operative pain. This means faster healing and a quicker return to normal activities.  We also perform interventional solutions that include atherectomies, distal protection devices, and drug-eluting or renal artery stents.

Cardiothoracic Surgery

Cardiothoracic surgery includes any surgical procedure performed on the heart, aorta and blood vessels within the thorax or chest area, typically to treat complications of heart disease, correct congenital heart conditions, or treat valvular and rheumatic heart disease.
