Dr. Anthony Esposito is Chief of the Department of Medicine and Director of Infectious Diseases for Saint Vincent Hospital. As an Infectious Diseases specialist, Dr. Esposito works closely with patients to provide both immediate and follow up care that addresses symptoms of their disease and the root of their illness. “I strive to combine the most up-to-date, evidence-based information, based upon nearly 30 years of practicing as an infectious diseases consultant, in a comprehensive approach to patients who are referred with an enigmatic illness, such as ongoing fever, or an established infectious disorder, such as Lyme disease.”
Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, Dr. Esposito holds a position of Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. Recognized as one of the Best Doctors in America, he is also a distinguished author, having been published in over 50 publications and contributed to numerous medical books.
Dr. Esposito served a clinical and research fellowship at the Division of Infectious Diseases at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, and he completed his internship and residency in medicine at Boston Veterans Administration Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. Dr. Esposito is a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and a fellow with the American College of Physicians.
